We had 106 angler’s come out and try their luck on a cool, cloudy day to take home their share of over $6,000 in money and prizes.  The event was postponed due to the Hurricane so the lake had changed quite a bit in a week. It appeared the water had receded up to 3′ and cleared up considerably but was changing every hour.  Our anglers were able to get them figured out though. The first hour set the tone that it was going to take a 5 pound plus fish to win a hour. Fish were caught on a variety of baits but it seemed square bill crankbaits were credited with catching several fish over 5 pounds including the 6.71 pound fish that took home all the money and some hardware.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our event. We have one event left to get qualified for the new Triton Boat to be given away at High Rock Lake on November 4th.  The last chance to get qualified is on October 7th at Lake Norman.

If you are in the market for outdoor gear please give our great partners a chance to earn your business.  Angler’s Choice Marine, Triton Boats, Mercury Marine, Dave’s Tournament Tackle, Cashion Fishing Rods, Bass Pro Shops and Deep Creek Lures.

Thank you,

Brad Staley
